Haystack Beach
scuba, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, whale watching, sunset cruise, and the famous Maui Ocean Center (tickets at additional cost) If you walk the whole 3 mile stretch you will find yourself at Kihei’s Sugar Beach, which is a great place to gaze at the sunset with your loved ones. Hang a hammock in the trees and spend the day reading a book in the shade, take a break to swim with the sea turtles, watch the boats embark on their daily routine, or the whales breach in the Winter months. If you’re lucky, you can catch “freight trains”, a far out wave which only appears during large south swells. This wave is one of the fastest right hand barrels where you can watch experienced surfers dissappear into the barrell!
